Academic Teaching
For the majority of my career, I dedicated myself to the practical aspects of architecture, tackling the real-world challenges inherent in creating built environments rather than delving deeply into academia. Nevertheless, my enduring passion for teaching and engaging in academic discourse persisted, prompting me to sustain my involvement in educational spheres over time. During my ten-year tenure in Dubai, I gained recognition as a valued guest critic across numerous architectural schools.
In September 2018, I accepted a full-time position as an Associate Professor at XJTLU in Suzhou. Since then, my primary dedication has been to academic teaching and research. Drawing upon my broad experience in architectural practice and engagement in a wide array of projects across different scales and typologies, I have effectively bridged the realms of academia and professional practice. This fusion has injected a new vitality into my academic interactions with students and colleagues.
